Beam Line Equipment:
- Dahlstrom Decoiler
- Dahlstrom straightener
- Dahlstrom Shear 13" wide to 12 guage
- Dahlstrom belt conveyor
- Run off table
- Computer controlled system for cut to
length line. Will not fire if there is 1/32 off tolerance,
121' per minute
- Cincinnati 12' press break with Hurco programmable
back gauge.
- Cincinnati 225 ton 12' press break with
Dynabend programmable back gauge.
- 500 ton Accupress with Hurco programmable
back gauge
- Cincinnati 135 ton press break with Herco
programmable back gauge
- Complete with die holders, beam forming
dies and beam closing die. Plus many punch and die sets. The
equipment is able to produce 1000+ beams per shift.
- Two beam welding lines capable of welding
beam bodies and automatically installing clips.
- Each welding consists of Miller flux core
mig welding machines, computer controlled welding fixtures
for welding beams and and applying beam clips, mechanical
systems for handling beam clips and riveting beams into the
system, quality control stations with mig welding stations.
Some of the high volume welders are water cooled. All phases
of the process are computer controlled.
- The beam line also includes a beam clip
blanking and forming die that produces two clips per hit,
rivet staking die that sets three rivets and the safety
spring with each cycle, safety spring blanking die (spring
must be heat treated), one sixty ton Bliss press used in
beam clip assembly.
- A large quantity of safety springs and
annealed steel, beam clips, rivets and coil stock for making
beam clips.
